"When you are telling a story that's based on lies, there is no way to get to an absolute definitive truth."
- Jono McLeod, director, My Old School
Scottish filmmaker Jono McLeod’s documentary is, first and foremost, fun. Utilising whimsical animation, a nostalgic soundtrack and impressive lip-syncing from Scottish actor Alan Cumming (a substitute for the film’s subject, who refused to be filmed), this is a fascinating insight into a stranger-than-fiction scandal and the slipperiness of our memories.
We caught up with Jono about a true story so bizarre, you'll have to see it to believe.
