British Council Film

The British Council works with a network of international film festivals to bring the best of UK film to international audiences, including running the UK's Festival Selector Screenings programme.

In their UK film database, they collect information on all new UK films in production to offer an up-to-date snapshot of contemporary UK talent. They maintain an extensive list of international film festivals for filmmakers looking to plot their film's journey around the world. They also support emerging UK talent with travel grants, by showcasing their work on their UK Shorts Portal, and through other programmes designed to enable new international relationships.

The British Council tours programmes of UK film via their colleagues in over 100 countries, working with UK partners ranging from BAFTA-nominated short films; Grierson-nominated documentaries; and themed programmes including Doc Society's Climate Stories Playlist.
