LFF Expanded Industry Day

The 69th BFI London Film Festival (LFF), in partnership with American Express, has announced the programme for its inaugural LFF Expanded Industry Day, taking place on Wednesday 15 October 2025. Supported by the Southbank Centre, the new initiative marks the festival’s first dedicated industry platform for immersive, XR and video games. The day offers UK creators a focused space to connect with international peers, buyers and commissioners. Industry delegates will gain early access to projects in development, insights from leading voices, and opportunities to build new international connections.

Impact - BFI National Lottery Filmmaking Fund

The BFI Impact feature funding awards money from the National Lottery to support original live action and animation feature filmmaking. Impact feature funding is for more experienced directors or debut filmmakers with projects budgeted above £3,500,000. It provides awards of up to £1,250,000.

Creative Enterprise: Screen Launchpad

International Business Development Fund - UK Global Screen Fund

The UK Global Screen Fund's International Business Development strand aims to support the development of UK screen content businesses focusing on revenue generation through export and international expansion. Eligible companies can apply for funding between £50,000 and £200,000 in total over the three-year funding period, with support in the form of non-repayable grants

Short Film Funding - BFI NETWORK

This fund is open to filmmaking teams with directors based in England. It supports the production costs of standalone fiction films. These can be live action, animation or immersive/VR and must be no more than 15 minutes long. The fund is intended to stimulate new ideas and stories, so it does not support adaptations of existing material, apart from of the writer’s own previous work.
