Venice Production Bridge 2026: Gap Financing Market

The Venice Gap-Financing Market is a platform for selected projects that aims to support European and international producers to secure financing for their projects (Fiction Films, Documentaries and Immersive Projects) through one-to-one meetings with potential and pertinent international professionals (producers, sales agents, distributors, financiers, broadcasters and funds). All the invited professionals are decision-makers. The 3-day event will present up to 45 selected European and International projects and Immersive Projects developed through the Biennale College Cinema Immersive.

Creative Enterprise Foundations

Creative Enterprise Foundations is a dynamic and immersive business development programme tailored specifically for very early-stage screen businesses across film and TV, games, animation, immersive media, and createch. The program combines expert-led workshops and one-on-one mentoring, offering participants practical tools, industry insights, and personalised guidance to help them build a strong foundation for sustainable growth and success. The Foundations programme is for early stage companies (usually less than 2 years old) based in England and must have some track record and be ready to take their business to the next level.

Audience Projects Fund - BFI National Lottery

The BFI National Lottery Audience Projects Fund is an open fund supporting distributors, exhibitors and festivals to bring independent films and immersive activity to audiences across the UK in a dynamic and original way. The activity supported by the fund will demonstrate cultural ambition and encourage audiences to take risks in the viewing choices they make. £19.7m National Lottery funding will be awarded over three years to support the exhibition and distribution of ambitious, audience-facing, film and immersive projects.

Impact - BFI National Lottery Filmmaking Fund

The BFI Impact feature funding awards money from the National Lottery to support original live action and animation feature filmmaking. Impact feature funding is for more experienced directors or debut filmmakers with projects budgeted above £3,500,000. It provides awards of up to £1,250,000.

London Games Festival - Games Finance Market 2026

The Games Finance Market is UK’s largest curated B2B games event, connecting studios, publishers and investors from all over the globe. It’s a signature moment for LGF and has been core to the festival since day one. The event runs over two days and it is a unique opportunity for studios to pitch their games to a selected audience of publishers and investors. In 2025, attendees included 90+ studios from 23 countries and over 40 publishers and investors. The event focuses on multiple ways to get game made, funded and to the market including investment and publishing and new for 2026: codev, and self-publishing.

Future Proof Development Lab

Future Proof supports the development of new, formally innovative non-fiction cinema and immersive works by emerging to mid-career directors and lead creatives. Delivered by FACT Liverpool and Doc Society, supported by the BFI Creative Challenge Fund, awarding National Lottery funding, the Lab is designed to encourage 10 independent directors and lead creatives to develop bold new works and prepare their projects for financing. The programme modules consist of technological workshops, group working sessions, editorial consultations and a series of curated encounters with luminary non-fiction directors and artists. Each element of the programme is intended to advance the progress of written creative, technical and concept materials, in readiness to approach potential financiers and production partners. The lab will culminate in participating projects being introduced to non-fiction film and immersive funders at CPH:Forum (part of CPH:DOX, Denmark).

LFF Expanded Industry Day

The 69th BFI London Film Festival (LFF), in partnership with American Express, has announced the programme for its inaugural LFF Expanded Industry Day, taking place on Wednesday 15 October 2025. Supported by the Southbank Centre, the new initiative marks the festival’s first dedicated industry platform for immersive, XR and video games. The day offers UK creators a focused space to connect with international peers, buyers and commissioners. Short Film Funding - BFI NETWORK

This fund is open to filmmaking teams with directors based in England. It supports the production costs of standalone fiction films. These can be live action, animation or immersive/VR and must be no more than 15 minutes long. The fund is intended to stimulate new ideas and stories, so it does not support adaptations of existing material, apart from of the writer’s own previous work.
