Set somewhere in the South West of England, British writer-director Ben Wheatley teams up once more with UK scriptwriter Amy Jump to create a macabre and deeply visceral cinematic experience. Shot in monochrome by British cinematographer Laurie Rose, the film features outstanding performances from Northern Ireland’s Michael Smiley and the UK’s Reece Shearsmith. Co-produced by Film4 and Rook Films.

Synopsis

During the 17th century Civil War in England, two men capture a small group of fleeing deserters. After the captives ingest some wild mushrooms, they are forced to help search for the hidden treasure believed to be buried in the mystical field.
