Set in 1970s Britain, Detective and poet Adam Dalgliesh (Bertie Carvel) is a specialist in solving unusual murder cases. After Archdeacon Matthew Crampton (Andrew Havill) is found dead in a church, DCI Adam Dalgliesh is called in to unravel the mystery, accompanied by his young partner DS Daniel Tarrant (Alistair Brammer).
