Synopsis

In 1940s New York, socialite Florence Foster Jenkins (Meryl Streep) dreams of becoming an opera singer, but unfortunately the beautiful voice she hears in her head doesn’t quite match up to the wail that leaves her body. Desperate to protect her from how awful she really sounds, her husband St. Clair (Hugh Grant) goes to extreme lengths, but when Florence announces her plans to sing at Carnegie Hall, he faces his greatest challenge to date.
