Synopsis

Set in Northern Ireland in 1981, Bobby Sands (Michael Fassbender) leads the Republican prisoners’ hunger strikes. As one of the first to enact the "dirty protest" to fight for recognition as political prisoners, Sands embarked on a hunger strike that would result in his death.
