Synopsis

Based on the life of American war correspondent and photographer, Lee Miller (Kate Winslet), the fragility and strength of the human experience is examined via her iconic images of war. With a profound empathy for both women and war’s voiceless victims more generally, she aimed to expose the truth even when it came at huge personal cost, as she confronts her own trauma and a painful secret from her childhood.
