The creator of Nordic noir series The Bridge is behind this similarly plot-twisty, perpetually gasp-inducing detective drama, at the centre of which is British actor Anna Friel as the violently-inclined Marcella. Taut direction and a talented supporting cast (series one features a standout Florence Pugh) makes for a must-see, even if this is sometimes through your fingers.
