Synopsis

In 1985, working-class student Brian Jackson (James McAvoy) is accepted onto a English literature course at Bristol University. Navigating his way through the first year, he forms romantic relationships with two other students (Alice Eve and Rebecca Hall) and tries to become a contestant on popular TV programme “University Challenge”.
