Directed by Manchester-born Nicholas Hytner, British playwright Alan Bennett adapts his own play for this BAFTA-nominated film. Synopsis

In 1983, an unconventional teacher (Stephen Campbell Moore) and his colleagues (Richard Griffiths and Frances de la Tour) work at an all-boys grammar school in Yorkshire. Largely attended by working class boys, the teachers try to prepare eight gifted students to sit the entrance exams for Oxbridge scholarships.
