British author Peter Ackroyd's classic novel has been skillfully adapted to screen by Jane Goldman (The Woman In Black) in this atmospheric thriller. A fabulous ensemble British cast including Bill Nighy, Olivia Cooke and Douglas Booth bring the action to life, against a backdrop of intricate period detail. Synopsis

Set in 1880s Victorian London, a serial killer who leaves mysterious messages written in the blood of his victims has the East End of London gripped with terror. The experienced Inspector Kildare (Bill Nighy) is handed the case by Scotland Yard, tasked with investigating a long list of suspects to bring an end to the merciless killing spree.
