Directed by lauded UK filmmaker Michael Winterbottom, this affecting and entertaining series features Brits Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan doing more Michael Caine impressions than you can count. Winning Coogan a BAFTA for his largely improvised performance, the series was co-produced by Revolution Films, Baby Cow Productions, Arbie and BBC.

Synopsis

Steve Coogan is asked to review restaurants for the UK's Observer, joined last-minute by his friend Rob Brydon, after his girlfriend can’t make it. Playing semi-fictional versions of themselves, they travel around the UK’s northern countryside, to Italy, Spain and Greece across the show’s four seasons.
