Synopsis
In 1950s Britain, selfless cleaning woman Vera Drake (Imelda Staunton) offers endless care to her husband (Philip Davis) and two adult children (Alex Kelly and Daniel Mays), but unbeknownst to them, she has a secret life. When the authorities learn she’s providing illegal abortions, her closest relationships as well as her freedom are threatened.
